The podcast advertising industry welcomed an the IAB's updated podcast measurement guidelines. This comes on the heels of Apple's release of podcast listening habit data to podcast publishers this month.
The new guidelines, put together by the the Podcast Technical Working Group of industry professionals, focus on unique downloads, bots and bogus traffic requests, and overall measurement thresholds.
Keep a look out for more of these types of standards to be established and adopted as advertisers demand more from their podcast media.
